Healthy Boiled Egg Diet

The Healthy Boiled Egg Diet is what I use when I want to shed a few pounds. This diet is easy to follow and more cost effective than many other diets. I wanted to share this with you. Because it works and has many health benefits as well; including as I mentioned it is not costly. I prefer that you feel good about yourself and are most always in a great mood. And talking about feeling good here is something amazing to achieve this!

Whether we mention it or not our weight is a concern. If we are overweight it affects our overall outlook on life. All of us wnt to feel good about ourselves. Therefore, that is why we feel so elated when we drop some of those extra pounds and shed inches.

It is key that you hard boil your egge for this diet to function best for you. You stand to gain all that good nutrition that the eggs provide you. Also, it is the healthiest way to eat your eggs.

Nutrition and Some Benefits – Boiled Egg Diet

One large egg consists of 6 grams of protein and has 78 calories. It has a total 5 grams of fat consisting of 1.6 saturated fat, 0.7 grams of polyunsaturated fat and 2 grams of monounsaturated fat. They have 0.6 grams of carbohydrates, 62mg of sodium and 186.5mg of cholesterol. They are also an eggcellent source of vitamins and minerals, including calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, folate, choline, vitamin A, vitamin B-12, vitamin D, and various antioxidants.

As far as cholesterol is concerned, there is evidence that the choleterol in eggs is good cholesterol. This “fluffy” cholesterol has been reported to clean the blood pathways in your body. This is controversial, so I leave this to you to determine and research. In fact, the analysis of cholesterol cannot yet distinguish between the “good” cholesterol and the “bad” cholesterol. The fibre from this diet comes from the vegetables and fruits you consume. Not from the eggs which contains no fibre.

Lose Weight

The boiled egg diet can result in up to 24 pounds of weight loss. This can depend on body metabolism and how much exercise you get. Any weight loss regime should include moderate exercise to be more effective. Since I have always been into regular exercise, I have found much success with this diet. However, be sure not to return to old eating habits so that the weight returns. It’s importatnt to make your diet wortwhile doing!! (I really need to practice what iI preach!!)

You need to drink water each day for health. And while on this diet, drink Lots of Water to make it work better for you and maintain your health. Also drinking water kills the appetite. In fact, most times you want to snack, what you really need is some water to drink.

The Hard Boiled Egg Diet – 2 Week Menu

Week #1:

Monday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and a citrus fruit of your choice (ex. grapefruit/orange)
  • LUNCH – 2 apples (Red apples are best) and 2 pieces of sweet potato
  • DINNER – 1 large plate of salad and chicken (steamed or baked)

Tuesday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 Boiled eggs and 1 fruit
  • LUNCH – Chicken salad with green vegetables (the greener the better)
  • DINNER – 2 boiled eggs, veggie salad and an orange

Wednesday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and 1 fruit
  • LUNCH – 1 tomato, low fat cheese and 1 piece of sweet potato
  • DINNER – Chicken salad

Thursday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and 1 fruit
  • LUNCH – Fruit
  • DINNER – Salad and steamed chicken

Friday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and 1 fruit
  • LUNCH – 2 boiled eggs and veggies
  • DINNER – Grilled fish and salad

Saturday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and 1 fruit
  • LUNCH – Fruit
  • SUPPER – Steamed veggies and chicken

Sunday

  • BREAKFAST – 2 boiled eggs and 1 fruitmm

Also, drink lots of water; this is worth reminding. I added lemon slices to 2 lires of water and enjoyed it more. Not to mention the vitamin C from lemons. This yellow fruit also aids in weight loss. Water curbs the feelings are hunger between meals as well.

Choose Low Carb Fruits. Such as Strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, avocado, peaches and tomatoes. Include lean meats as a part of this diet such as fish and skinless chicken. Avoid starchy vegetables. Choose rather Spinach, arugula, kale, broccoli, zucchini, bell peppers, Brussel sprouts, and collard greens. Drink black tea and coffee as well as your water.

I fortunately, at least up to this point, have not had to lose more than 10 to 12 pounds at any one time. And yes. my weight has fluctuated over the years. I am guilty, as most are, of letting my guard down and returning to bad eating habits. This being said, I find that I can get the results I want with this diet in less than 2 weeks. For you, do the complete 2 weeks of the diet if need be of course.
